Dévoilé au Salon automobile de Genève, la version Motorsport du BMW Z4 M Coupé ets une pure voiture de sport destinée aux amoureux de circuits et notamment du fmaeux Nürburgring's Nordschleife. le nouveau coupé Motorsport est aussi destiné aux teams privés pour le championnat allemand d'endurance

Le kit est disponible depuis Mai 2006 auprès de BMW Motorsport pour environ 250 000 euros HT.
